
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, students viewed the documentary "Chasing the Dragon." This documentary was released by the FBI and DEA in an effort to combat the growing epidemic of prescription drug and heroin abuse. Special thanks to Lt. Darran Austin, Arkansas State Police, for being with us to answer questions and reinforce the dangers of addiction.

SLC seniors went to the college and career fair hosted by ATU to gather information on colleges, vocational institutes, and military.



Khalia Callans was presented with the student of the month award last night at the monthly school board meeting. We are so proud of her and her achievements.


Students in Ms. Guiltner's Biology class have enjoyed exploring science through experimentation. They recently completed an activity demonstrating the properties of water.




Bus Drivers Needed!!


SLC students enjoyed collected 5 solid bags of trash around our buildings and the field! They were proud of the way it looked after.


The students are getting proficient at beating Mr. Craig at the Quizlet Match game. They claim to have out scored him in Civics, World Geography, and History. He claims that he let them! Proof is in the pudding...

Several SLC students were able to visit Mrs. Connerly's class at Dwight Elementary last week. Mrs. Connerly's class gave a tour of their school garden and were very excited to talk about the different vegetables they are growing and how they take care of the garden. The older students then helped the younger students paint rocks to decorate the garden.
